Keeping Angels Busy
New Single out now!!!

Thoughts from Kerrie about her new single, "Keeping Angels Busy."

So many different narratives come together to make all of our stories. I’m so excited to release the first of many singles for the year, titled Keeping Angels Busy. There will be what I like to call “story songs,” hymns that are close to my heart and prayer songs. I’m really thrilled to share these with you. It’s always a complete joy to let my heart spill out in this way. I hope there is a part of you that can identify with these musical moments.

“That restlessness, that inner sense, that feeling I must go...”

Remember that scene in Little Women where Jo is freaking out to her mom? She says she is miserable and needs to GET OUT of there (paraphrase). I always identified so much with that scene even though I was so incredibly happy at home.

The world is beautiful and wide and deep and I can’t get my mind or arms around it, but I’ve always wanted to try.

As long as I can remember there has been that longing.

This song is an expression of that longing for more, whatever that more might be and yes, so much of that was connected to music.

I know you don't need to know about my entire life, but I'm taking this opportunity to reintroduce myself.

So many of you have been with me from my first release and I'm so thankful, and while that seems like the beginning it feels like that was more like the middle. The first church platform I ever stood on was the beginning of my training and I had no clue. My parents have been in full time ministry for longer than I've been alive. I love being a part of that but never had any thought of being in any type of ministry myself.

You see I was going to be a popstar and even after signing a record deal with a Christian music label I still did not think of myself that way. I've stood on so many stages (my first professional gig was as a background singer for Engelbert Humperdink), been on stages all over the world (some stranger than others, like that time the audience was swimming) and been through so many stages to bring me to a true place of peace. This truly feels miraculous to me!

A huge part of that is having the courage to return to and embrace my roots. Returning to my roots, returning home gave me so much peace, but home is so much more than a location.

Home is sunshine, baking bread, growing herbs, eggplant, tomatoes and sweet potatoes. Home is taking the time to have my bare feet on the earth. Home is meeting a total stranger in Miami and marrying him 15 months later. Home for me now is reading fairy tales and Bible stories to my girls. Home is the peace in knowing I am so loved, supported and seen by my family.

Home is living in peace with my present and having true joy with an open heart and hands. Home is the knowledge that my God is glorified by my singing lullabies as much as He is when I’m leading worship or writing a song about How His eyes have been on me all along.

“Keeping angels busy living in this city, chasing dreams that keep outrunning me....”

"Come Back to Life" is a calling out to everyone going through the trials of everyday life and also to those dealing with depression, living in a dark place or even battling with thoughts of suicide.

"In Your Sight" from the album "Time for the Show." I wanted to do a RAW LIVE performance of this very personal song. I know I need the reminder that God can see me in whatever situation I am in.

About Boundless, Roberts shares: “I want listeners to have those moments of complete focus, and peace and love and joy whenever you are experiencing the presence of God. We know that lives are changed, hearts are changed, and our bodies are changed by His presence. That would be the definition of success for me for this album, if people experience His presence and have their lives changed with a bit of a taste of Heaven.”
