So, it may seem pretty timely for you (and I'm glad it does), but the message of this song has been stewing in my head for quite some time...and then there's the actual writing that occurs after proper "marination" in my brain. This song was written around Christmas time and recorded in January for the upcoming album, so for me I've been waiting a while to be able to share it with you. Each time one of my Grandparents went to be with our Lord, I heard a song the same morning, and it stuck with me to this day. Well, the morning of May 31st, my Grandfather passed away. I heard your song, 'Finally Home' for the first time. That was the perfect song to hear that morning, because he kept repeating over and over again that he wanted to go home. Well, we all know that he is......Finally Home....with our Father in Heaven. Thank you for this beautiful song.

Timely that I heard this song for the first time today. Friends just lost 18 year old son and nephew in a car wreck 2 nights ago. Thank you for writing this song. It also comforts me in other recent deaths.
